The result is you end up with a Macintosh formatted Mac OS boot floppy which you can use on your PC or even on a real Macintosh. Once you have downloaded a disk image, use the free releases of Aladdin's StuffIt Expander for Windows to extract the disk image file, then use our free Gemulator Explorer utility to transfer the disk image to a real floppy disk. All versions of Mac OS up to 7.5.5 are freely available from this site. If you are a Macintosh user and are trying to run Gemulator SoftMac but need a Mac OS boot floppy, you can download various System 6 and System 7 boot floppy disk images from Apple's Software Updates web page.
